What we do

We provide a high quality dog grooming service in East Kilbride

A typical groom

Although we will provide customised services and treatments for your dog, the basic approach that we take for washing and cutting is shown below.

We hope this gives you a good idea of what we do.  We never rush through this process. Our intention is to make it as stress-free for your dog as possible:

  1.  We give your dog a basic 6 point health check-up and look for any hidden issues that may be affecting your dog's health now or possibly in the future,
  2. We gently brush, detangle and comb your dog's hair,
  3. The body hair is clipped, groin, nails and feet trimmed and ears cleaned,
  4. A gentle bath with Professional grooming shampoo (we rinse and condition the fur at least once and usually twice more),
  5. We gently dry your dog with high quality dryers and blasters,
  6. A final clip to get a high quality finish,
  7. A scissor cut to style your dog to the breed standard,
  8. An optional spay of scent.

Preparing your dog for the groom.

There are one or two things that you can do to make the grooming experience a little more relaxing and successful.  Some of the tips below are obvious, and most of our clients do these things anyway.

Please do the following:

  • Please take your dog to the toilet before arriving,
  • Bring your dog on a lead,
  • Let us know before-hand if your dog is 'on-heat' as we may need to re-schedule male dogs another day,
  • Let us know if your dog has any health problems or anything that you would like us to have a look at for you.  If they take any medicine, please let us know so that we can schedule this into their pampering.

Similarly, there are a few things that make our job a little more difficult.

Please avoid the following:

  • Don't try and pre-wash your dog less within a couple of days of their pampering session,
  • Don't allow your dog to have a swim or bring them in wet,
  • Don't forget to tell us if your dog can be aggressive in any way .
